From Pacific Ag Insurance, turn right and head west on Whitley Ave. toward Hale Ave. (approximately 85 ft.) Cross Hale Avenue and turn right onto Hale. Continue north for about 377 ft. The Corcoran Journal will be on your left.
In the bustling 1930’s and 1940’s, the city was bursting at its seams, and, in fact, supported two newspapers: The Journal and The Corcoran News. The latter was absorbed by The Corcoran Journal, which kept the "Corcoran News" tag under its main masthead.
The Corcoran Journal is one of the few independent weeklies left in the San Joaquin Valley; most have been absorbed by major newspaper chains. The exhibit features a vintage typewriter and a collection of camera equipment.
