From the Pizza Factory, turn left walking west, you’ll pass (or stop and shop) two shops (Secret Salon and Blissful Moments) for approximately 51 ft. Fabrie Jewelers will be on your left.
*The year was 1956 and a young, Pete Fabrie, arrived in America from Holland as a watchmaker with little money but big dreams. With a sponsorship from his brother-in-law and sister, Fred and Bep, Pete came to Tulare and after working in Hanford, moved to Corcoran to work at Gregory Jewelers. In 1959, Pete bought the business and renamed it Fabrie Jewelers. At the time, the store was half the size it is today. After owning Fabrie Jewelers for 27 years, Pete sold the shop to his son and his wife. Now, a second-generation owned store, Jerry and Evelyn continue to run this thriving, quaint corner shop all while fulfilling a family legacy.
*On display, as part of the museum collection, are locally owned antique treasures such as jewelry that dates back to the early 1900's, vintage cameras, and items from Corcoran's Hometown Dairy and Porter's Red Barn.
